      An emulsifier binds oil and water into a smooth, stable mixture — without one, the two separate. Any cream, lotion, or emulsified serum needs an emulsifier to hold its texture and stay uniform from the first pump to the last.

      Emulsifying wax (such as our NF Polawax or BTMS-50) is a complete, easy-to-use emulsifier in wax form. You melt it into your oil phase, combine it with your water phase, and it binds the two into a lotion or cream.

      A wax adds hardness, structure, and a protective barrier — think balms, bars, and candles. An emulsifier blends oil and water. Emulsifying waxes bridge the two: they look like a wax but function as an emulsifier, giving both body and stability.

      Yes. Our vegan waxes include sunflower, olive, candelilla, and carnauba, and vegan-friendly emulsifiers include the OLIVEM range, Polawax, and plant lecithins — so you can build fully plant-based formulations.
