      NPA (Non-Peroxide Activity) measures the natural antibacterial strength of Manuka honey, which comes from its MGO (methylglyoxal) content. It is equivalent to the UMF scale. A higher NPA means stronger activity and a rarer, more premium honey.

      Manuka honey is produced by bees foraging the New Zealand Manuka bush. Unlike standard honey, it retains a stable, non-peroxide antibacterial activity — which is why it is graded, certified, and valued for both wellness and skincare.

      Many products here are derived from or inspired by honeybee ingredients. Anyone with a known allergy to bees, venom, pollen, propolis, or royal jelly should exercise caution and patch test before use. Even lab-produced actives like synthetic melittin are designed to mimic natural bee peptides. If you have a history of severe allergies, consult your healthcare provider first.

       Raw honey is remarkably stable and, stored properly, does not spoil. Keep it sealed at room temperature, away from heat and moisture. Natural crystallisation is normal — simply warm gently to return it to a smooth, liquid texture.
