Rice Water SF is a fermented rice-derived cosmetic ingredient inspired by the traditional use of rice water in hair and skin care. Through fermentation, rice water is transformed into a versatile, water-soluble ingredient well suited for modern cosmetic formulations.

Naturally associated with rice-derived nutrients, amino acids, and fermentation metabolites, Rice Water SF is an excellent addition to formulas designed to support hydration, conditioning, softness, and a healthy-looking appearance. In hair care, it can be incorporated into shampoos, conditioners, masks, scalp treatments, leave-in products, and hair serums. It is also suitable for facial and body care formulations where a fermented botanical ingredient is desired.

Its liquid, water-soluble format makes it especially easy for formulators to incorporate into aqueous products and emulsions.

Suggested Use Level: 1–10%
pH Stability: 4.0–7.0

Formulating Guidelines: Add to the aqueous phase. For emulsions, incorporate after the emulsion has formed and at temperatures below 70°C (158°F).

Ideal For: Hair conditioners, shampoos, hair masks, leave-in treatments, scalp formulations, serums, facial products, lotions, creams, and other water-based cosmetic formulations.

• Conditioning Shampoo or Conditioner – Add Rice Water SF to your favorite hair-care base at the appropriate cool-down stage.

Formulator Tip: Rice Water SF is particularly nice for creating “fermented beauty” and rice-inspired hair-care formulas. At lower percentages it can complement a more complex formula, while higher usage levels allow fermented rice to become a featured ingredient.

Storage: Store tightly sealed and protected from direct light and humidity at 50–77°F (10–25°C). Avoid prolonged exposure to temperatures above 25°C and direct light.

Please Note: Sediment may develop during storage. Mix well before use. Exposure to cold temperatures may temporarily alter the product’s appearance. If this occurs, gently warm to approximately 45–50°C and mix until the normal appearance is restored.

Shelf Life: Approximately 12 months when properly stored in a sealed container.This product should be added to a formulation at the recommended usage rate
