Cupuacu butter originates from the Amazon Rainforest in South America. The fruit falls freely from the trees during the heavy rainy season, and its seeds are cold-pressed to form Cupuacu butter for commercial sale and are used worldwide. The Cupuacu fruit is highly creamy in nature and the butter that is derived by grinding its seeds is full of antioxidants and vitamins that work wonders for the hair, skin, and body. Its high phytosterol content helps treat damaged and dry skin by enhancing collagen production. Cupuacu butter also stabilizes emulsions and is known as a vegan alternative to beeswax in DIY beauty products. The normal scent profile of unrefined cupuaçu butter is an earthy, mild, and subtly sweet aroma, reminiscent of chocolate with fruity, tropical, or nutty undertones. Some people also detect a slightly sour or tangy note.
Note: Natural butters and oils may melt during shipping or processing when exposed to high temperatures, and upon cooling they can sometimes re-solidify with a grainy texture or develop a thin white layer known as fat bloom (a harmless separation of fats such as stearic acid). This is a normal occurrence and does not affect the quality of your product. To restore a smooth consistency, simply warm the butter until fully liquefied, stir well, and then flash freeze in the original container or smaller jars. This process will return the butter to its creamy texture. Please note that returns are not accepted for graininess or fat blossom; if you have questions, contact us at info@bulknaturalswholesale.com.
