Batana Oil (American Palm)

Batana Oil also referred to as American Palm Oil, is extracted from the American palm tree and has been employed for generations in Honduras to maintain healthy skin and hair. We source this miracle oil directly from the Miskito people in the jungle of Honduras where they employ sustainable practices to keep their trees healthy for generations to come. This unrefined pure oil, derived from the tree's nut, is known for its antioxidant properties, making it a beneficial additive to body care products that helps nourish and guard the skin against damage caused by environmental toxins. We do a final filtering on the oil but also offer it in bulk without the filtering.

Note: Natural butters and oils may melt during shipping or processing when exposed to high temperatures, and upon cooling they can sometimes re-solidify with a grainy texture or develop a thin white layer known as fat bloom (a harmless separation of fats such as stearic acid). This is a normal occurrence and does not affect the quality of your product. To restore a smooth consistency, simply warm the butter until fully liquefied, stir well, and then flash freeze in the original container or smaller jars. This process will return the butter to its creamy texture. Common Use:  Skin care and hair care formulations
 
One common use is using straight Batana oil massaged into scalp and hair. Cover for 30 minutes and either leave it in or wash out. We have found that mixing a few drops of Rosemary essential oil helps to cover the scent and also has hair regrowing abilities of its own.  As with the introduction of anything new in your routine we encourage a patch test to ensure no sensitivities.
