Broccoli Extract contains a compound known as sulforaphane, which acts as a skin protectant, especially against UV rays. It differs from conventional sunscreens in that it does not absorb UV rays. Instead, its protective qualities lie in its ability to up-regulate the cells' own defenses against UV damage. This defense system includes a network of cell protective proteins that help protect against the damage caused by a wide range of toxins and carcinogens.

Common Uses: Broccoli extract helps stave off redness and inflammation associated with UV damage. While we don't suggest you abandon your SPF in favor of broccoli extract, using natural CBD skin care with broccoli extract is a great way to care for your skin—especially during the sun-soaked days of summer. Broccoli extract helps slow down the early signs of aging and gives skin a natural glow. It also prevents skin inflammation and fights against harsh environmental aggressors.

Botanical Extracts are generally water-soluble powders or liquids that can be used in cosmetics, with the exception of a few oil-soluble or partially water-soluble powders. For cosmetic use the possibilities are endless and extracts can be added to products like Masks, Moisturizers, Creams, Lotions, Cleansers, Toners, Serums, Oils, Shampoos, Conditioners, and Scrubs.

This product is cosmetic grade & for external use only.
