Dipeptide Diaminobutyroyl Benzylamide  or Dipeptide DBD for short is a powerful biomimetic peptide of Waglerin-1, which is found in the venom of the Temple Viper, Tropidolaemus wagleri. Dipeptide DBD is especially useful in anti-aging and anti-wrinkle products targeting expression lines by temporarily inhibiting muscle cell contractions. Dipeptide DBD helps relax the face without losing the ability to express emotion, dramatically lifting sagging skin, and firming the skin around the eyes, forehead, and mouth for more youthful-looking, smooth skin. It is recommended for use in skincare, including facial moisturizers, cleansers, anti-aging serums, and creams.

Dipeptide DBD is a non-evasive wrinkle treatment, with effects similar to Botox, that can help your skin return to a younger, more natural, and relaxed state. Dipeptide DBD has been shown to decrease wrinkles on the forehead by up to 20% when applied twice daily for 4 weeks. When measured on crow's feet, the depth of wrinkles was visibly reduced, and an overall smoother and more even skin surface appeared after just 28 days. The skin permeation of Dipeptide DBD is less than 500 Daltons, making it small enough to easily penetrate the skin. Dipeptide DBD is easy to formulate in gels, creams, and emulsions. Some of the tested substances showed limited compatibility in an aqueous solution with Dipeptide DBD. This does not necessarily mean that they cannot be used in combination with Dipeptide DBD in emulsions: the formula or the concentrations have to be carefully evaluated in detail to ensure the stability of the product.

Liposomes are the latest nano-scale technology for the encapsulation of cosmetic actives. This technology uses bilayer lipids(fats) to encapsulate active ingredients and protect them until the point of delivery into the target cell. The lipids used are extremely biocompatible with cell walls allowing them to bond to and release the active ingredient directly into the cells. Studies have shown that this method of delivery helps to time release the actives and increase absorption by as much as 7 times. Not only do you need less of the active ingredient to achieve better results, but the steady absorption over time will increase the benefits between applications.

You can add our Liposomal Dipeptide DBD to any hair and skin care product (serum, cream, cleanser, or moisturizer) or make a custom anti-wrinkle formula.
