Keratin Hydrolysate 30 PF is an aqueous solution created through a combination of alkaline and enzymatic hydrolysis, resulting in an average molecular weight of 2000 Daltons. Its molecular weight prevents the product from penetrating the skin or hair but rather creates a tenacious film, imparting outstanding conditioning benefits. This also leads to increased shine and an improved feel of hair.

Keratin is the primary composition of the skin's stratum corneum and hair fibers. Its strength and elasticity derive from its cross-linked helical structure, held together by disulfide bonds- the strongest of its kind in hair. Keratin can be hydrolyzed to yield varied functions, from quaternized proteins to fatty acid condensates, and even mild surfactants with alkaline material.

Keratin Hydrolysate 30 PF forms tightly bound protein-surfactant complexes with anionic surfactants, reducing surfactant irritation and defatting. This enhances the formation and stability of foam structures, leading to improved consumer benefits such as reduced irritation, conditioning, film-forming, and higher foaming capacity.
