East African Nilotica Virgin Shea Butter - PLUS KOKUM Creamy, Luxurious, Extra Emollient

Our Shea Nilotica Plus Kokum blend pairs the healing qualities of East African Shea with the skin-sealing properties of Kokum Butter. Kokum contains up to 80% of stearic-oleic-stearic (SOS) triglycerides. This is a unique type of oil, solid at room temperature, with high oxidative stability, and rich in antioxidants. Its emollient properties are known for their ability to help soften skin and restore elasticity, making it a perfect match with East African Shea Butter.

East African Shea Butter is a rare type of Shea Butter and accounts for 1% of all shea butter produced worldwide. One of the qualities of this type of shea butter is its high olien content, which makes it much softer. Nilotica shea butter is considered the “luxury” Shea butter product compared to western Shea butter. It is richer, creamier, & much more difficult to obtain. Many also say that East African Shea Butter contains a higher portion of Shea Butter's healing qualities due to its higher content of Vitamin E and other nutrients.
