Candelilla Wax – Vegan Plant Wax
Our Candelilla Wax is a plant-based vegan wax derived from the leaves of the Euphorbia cerifera shrub native to northern Mexico and the southwestern United States. Naturally rich in protective wax esters and hydrocarbons, this versatile botanical wax is prized for its smooth glide, glossy finish, and excellent hardening properties in cosmetic and personal care formulations.
With a higher melting point than many other natural waxes, Candelilla Wax is often used as a vegan alternative to beeswax in lip balms, lotion bars, salves, body butters, hair pomades, deodorants, candles, and solid perfume applications. It helps improve texture, stability, and consistency while adding a silky, lightweight finish to formulations.
